We have large crows in our neighborhood. If we get too close to "their" area, they will swoop down and attack us.

Gunilla

The horse is great, very steampunk.

Villroses hage

Incredible horse!
Well worth visiting despite cold fingers...

Gattina

This horse is absolutely beautiful, not junk at all (have seen worse in exhibitions which I would call junk) I also like your macro picture ! Very artistic !

Marie-AZ

Wonderful place to visit! Love the found-art sculpture horse, and the painting. Glad it warmed up so you could go on to the other place as well. That gate with the ravens is really awesome!

Dearest Sallie; How intricately made the horse is☆☆☆ So amazing and maybe we cannot find in Japan. Our city has lots of sculptures but this one is SO unique♪ I never knew the word 'found-object' :-)

Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

Laura Hegfield

DeniseinVA

Oh my goodness, the sculpture is truly magnificent. So intricate. I really admire the artist's work. And I love the entrance. Must have been a fun place to walk around. Thanks for joining in my guessing game. I have the answer up now.

Tom The Backroads Traveller

What a great find, Sally. I'm seen sculptures like this before, but never as large as this beauty. Tom The Backroads Traveller

Eileen

Hello Sallie, the horse sculpture is amazing.. and I love the Raven's gate! Thanks for sharing your visit.. Have a happy day!

Ramakant

The found-objects metal horse actually reminded me of the metal bull in the Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters movies. It looks very similar. Lovely pictures and narration. Visited your blog after a long time and enjoyed the visit.

Gemma Wiseman

Ironfire is an amazing horse, so artistically designed from so many bits and pieces. Most impressive.

diane

I love those type of sculptures. I think they are so clever to make junk look like something. This one is terrific. Your description of the cold reminds me of when we were in the Smoky Mountains. Now I wouldn't mind to open the door and feel that cold blast as the temp here is in the 9()'sF with 90% humidity.

Gaelyn

Love Ironfire, what a wonderful imagination Dixie has. Plus that close up shot is awesome, cold fingers or not.

Yogi

This is interesting. I love sculpture parks and art museums and this looks likes a nice place to visit.

Felicia

oh wow Ironfire is beautiful. love all the rusty objects in his body.

Mama Zen

That horse is so cool!

Abrianna

I think that sculpture is great and in warmer weather would provide many macro opportunities.

Penny

Such a magnificent steed, Sallie, and what an interesting agreement between the artist and how interesting between Leanin' Tree and the artists. i would love that. I often use cards as artwork in small frames, as I can afford them.

TexWisGirl

first, the steampunk horse sculpture is awesome! love the close-up you showed! LOTS of pieces in that work! and i did think those ravens were real on that gate! very cool!

Jenn Jilks

I love this horse. It's amazing!

Lowell

I would love this place. That horse is fantastic! What a mess! I love it!

BTW, do you know the name of the plant on my post today - the bright red thing that looks rather like a serrated worm?
