In the strange and wonderful world that is Six Mile Cypress Slough it is easy to become a little bit disoriented.
Sometimes you can't be sure if you're looking up or down. The picture above is straight-out-of-the camera, but if I rotated it, I think it would look more natural than it does this way.
Let's find out:
Now I'm even more confused than usual.
Looking out at the beautiful blue skies (top row) and getting a kaleidoscopic, slightly distorted view of the same ones by looking down at the reflections through the duckweed and ripply slough water.
Just an ordinary peaceful blue January winter sky here in this corner of the world...
... where life is good, even if sometimes a little bit off-kilter.
Sharing with everyone who enjoys gazing at the sky -- whether up or down -- by linking this post to SKYWATCH FRIDAY and with my fellow scenery junkies at SCENIC WEEKENDS.
Thank you to Yogi, Sylvia, and Sandy for SWF and to Gemma for SW.
Neat skies and reflections.

Looks a lot like south Florida! Probably might avoid walking there in the middle of the summer what with the heat and mosquitoes. :) Lovely photos, Sallie!

I believe you are correct! Nice photos, whichever way you turn them.

How I love the last picture. The water's so calm, the cloud's reflection in it is so beautiful. The trees are refreshing.

I love that rotated reflection - it is indeed confusing!

I really like the reflections. I've tried to do pictures like that sometimes myself. The scenery there is beautiful.

Just don't fall into a sink hole. We saw a documentary the other night on FL and the underground streams that permeate the peninsula.

Yes it's true. Travelling really does broaden one's horizons and reawakan the senses, as you know Sallie. Greetings from Spain - catch you soon.

Beautiful pics. I liked your upside down pic a lot. I sent a roll of film off to be processed two years ago and the digital images that I got back were upside down and I loved the ones where there were reflections as it took a while to figure out what end was up.

I like when you reflect, Sallie.

It looks natural to me, but then I am used to these types of scenes. I love the reflections of the clouds and sky in that last shot! So pretty.
