Thats a nice picture - I really like the colour - not everything has to be neon bright!

PS: my slowness to comment and visit has been caused by a trip to an island in the Pacific!

Beautiful photo Sallie

Our sky is clouded over as well. November skies are so dreary. But your photo has drama too!

One of my favorite parts of Autumn are views just like this one...of course I love sunny days like today too!

That is a falling sky indeed. Gorgeoous!

Hi. The site at first refused my usual email address!

Lovely! I saw a similar view locally, but one showing the slanting shafts of rain blowing through! I was driving in gale force winds and could not stop :).

Definitely a sky shot and a wonderful one at that!

What a moody beautiful shot!

This is absolutely magnificent, Sallie. The fog, the reflections, the way you have composed this photo - it looks a a painting and is full to the brim with atmosphere.

Beautiful landscape. You may have rain and mist but we have unseasonably warm and rainy weather-- not to mention humidity. So don't be in a hurry to get back to Floria!

You got a sky picture and a reflection. The only problem is you can't see where the sky begins and the earth ends. But that's OK. Most of us don't know where we're going anyway! :))

Gemma Wiseman

Such a beautiful scene. Gorgeous low misty cloud over the water creates a beautiful quiet drama.

oh the scenery is just wonderful! I love the autumn colours

so cool to see the clouds that way :) Much more beautiful then when todays clouds hit the ground at my place. Everything turns grey.

Beautiful reflections in the water!
Have a great week-end!

Great shot and caption. You are always entertaining!

That is an awesome photograph! I wish I could step into it. I love a misty day.

The sky certainly does meet the ground in that shot, its mysterious and yet it beckons you to come see what is hidden below! We've had cool damp weather for a couple days Now I'm ready for SUN!

A very, pretty cloudy sky Sallie. I do hope it doesn't drop as much rain as picture suggests it might.

Your Belted Kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon) is a large conspicuous kingfisher commonly found in the northern United States and Canada. Our own much smaller Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis)is widespread across Europe and into Asia. They are both pretty shy I agree but our own Kingfisher seems to be less shy in other places I have visited, notably India and Egypt, perhaps because people in those countries go about their business without even noticing birds, even less do they trouble birds with cameras or interfering in the birds' lives.

A great shot. You had better warn Henny Penny that the sky is falling in.

Beautiful - and right now I could do with a bit of that misty cold! We are sweltering in a heat wave!

Fantastic photo Sallie!
I love that kind of a moody and damp scene. Especially in person.

What an idyllic scene! I love this! :)

Glad to see you're still roaming. We haven't been going much of late, hence I find I have nothing new to say. That doesn't mean that life has been boring, just that I wasn't sure if I wanted to share with the world at large.

That is a classic PNW sky - I love it and think it's a perfect SWF post!

Marvelous!!! Reminded of inversion at the canyon. Water sure looks low.

Dearest Sallie;
Wow, the title of "Falling Sky" sure matches the spectacular picture♪ Clouds are making the scene dynamic and LOVE the reflection very much♡♡♡

Breathtaking view.

Love those reflection pictures Sallie and a good way to describe them, with the sky falling into the water.
You are still out West!!! Are you planning to spend the winter here?

Wow, what a great shot, it does look like the clouds are flowing downhill into the water.

I like the misty eerie feel.

I think all of this fog floating towards and almost incasing the sky definitely qualifies it for the meme. There is that one little opening where you can see just how gray the sky is.

oh, i like it.

Hello Salli, it is a beautiful scene. The low clouds and reflection are pretty. Happy Thursday, enjoy your weekend ahead!

Ah, and awesome it is!! What a gorgeous area and how fortunate we are to live here!!! Thanks as always for sharing the beauty!! Have a great weekend!!
