All photos for this end-of-the-week collection were taken here in the RV Resort where we spend winter and spring.
It looked like the morning sun fell into the Caloosahatchie River.
May flowers -- not the typical Spring flowers from other parts of the country.
Hibiscis -- beautiful from close or far.
The top two pictures are what I am pretty sure is a baby/juvenile mockingbird. He might just have fledged as he was sitting in the middle of the street looking a little shell-shocked. I heard adult mockingbirds in the trees above him. They might have been calling him (or maybe not -- mockingbirds are singing all over the park this time of the year).
This red-bellied woodpecker in the lower pictures seems obsessed with the RV Park recreation hall building. I see it there every morning. One day he was looking through the door as if he wanted to go inside.
Taken a little later on the same morning as the top sky picture --
now you can see a Spring rainstorm moving in.

So love the cute red-bellied woodpecker. He almost looks tame the way he is hanging around. And beautiful flowers.

In our condo (before) we had several hibiscus flower bushes. These are beautiful blooms, especially the reddish one! Many thanks for making that a part of SEASONS. Am appreciative!
Hope yoy had a nice Mothers day - it looks like not with your kids? That reminds me when we lived in Los Angeles. We celebrated it often by with going to the Botanical Garden. How about you?
Am not even going to try to spell the name of that river - I would have to scroll back and forth about 10 times:) Haha - have a lovely week, friend!

Your photos are always lovely, Sallie, but, this morning, Mother's Day Sunday, is sunny if cool and that first photo is outstanding! It does look as if the sun fell into the river.
We have mockingbirds here as well, though they are just starting to arrive and set up housekeeping. Love how this one is looking about. :)
Happy Mother's Day - and love the flowers.

I adore hibiscus. Our yard in Pam Beach was full of them. Mother used to pick a few and float them in an old cut grass down on our dining room table. Nice memories you have brought back to me. The red belly is a real cutie pie. Sure wish I was there with all of you.

Now I know that I am living underneath the Caloosahatchie River.
We see the sun after it has fallen into the river.

Thanks a lot, Sallie, for the baby mockingbird ! I hope he is safe, now ! Every day when I walk to town I meat a woodpecker. He obsessively, strikes on the trees making much noise. Everybody stops searching at him ! A real star !

I love the variety of flowers we have here in Florida. There's something blooming all year long. I took pics of the blue pickerel weed this week too. It's gorgeous in the wet areas. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Diane

What a lovely collection of pictures Sallie. I have been very remiss with my visiting but spending the afternoon popping in here and there, and finding such treasures. I do love Hibiscus, - my granddaughter has as very green thumb where they are concerned and grows the most beautiful plants.

Yes, that's a baby mockingbird. Birds are smarter parents than humans I think. those woodpeckers have such odd names, but I suppose they lost out on the red-head designation to the red-headed woodpeckers. Great photos of your lovely winter spot.

That's a beautiful place, it looks like a tropical paradise.

Hello Sally!:) All the flowers are so beautiful and the Hibiscus macro exquisite.I love these colourful blooms, but they don't do well in my garden. The juvie is a darling, and looks kind of vulnerable on the ground, nice shots!:) The Woodpecker is a curious one, I wonder why he is drawn to this building. I like the shot in front of the entrance. The Woodpeckers I see are off like a shot at the slightest movement. Thanks for sharing, what must be an unusual occurrence, and all your great images. Enjoy your weekend Sally!:)

Beautiful flowers!
Wonderful Woodpecker!
That certainly does look like a very young Mockingbird to me, too. Great photos!
Have a beautiful week-end!

Dearest Sallie; I loved the way you opened and closed this post with beautiful sky scene☆☆☆ Flowers from your area are really pretty and the birds are cute♫♫♫ I was a bit happy that I didn't have to check the word 'shell-shocked' when you said the mockingbird looked p:-) The obsessed with the park 'red-bellied woodpecker' is so pretty their color matching with their background of scenery♡♡♡

Wow what a wonderful place to spend time at in the RV. Our Trailer is very small so we go on short trips in it. I really appreciate the time you take to talk to me at my blog, ;-)(wonderful comments). I look forward to your comments. I spend my evening on my tablet and for some reason it will not let me comment on typepad, so I must make sure I check in here. I like that woodpecker and the baby bird too. I want to congratulate you for your body of work in blogging and for your continued support of other bloggers with your well thought out comments. Thank you for your support of my little blog for so long now. There should be some form of recognition for bloggers like you.

Beautiful pictures! I once got thumped on the head by a mockingbird when I got too close to a baby on the ground. It really hurt and I won't make that mistake again!

The woodpecker is so beautiful and the flowers are stunning! Am curious which one you're linking up for Seasons:)
Thank you Sallie your kind comments also on my weekly post about the workshops! It's an interesting dilemma, which is similar to blogging with having the meme. Love to "teach" (also by example), but when doing that, having less time for painting, or looking for subjects for posts in blogging. When my studio is done, I'll have to make some choices, because I know I can't keep up this pace!
Have a beautiful Mothers day!

It's always wonderful to see flowers. My daffodils are soon to be on the way out and the flowering crab hasn't yet opened its buds, so there's nothing like that here. They're gorgeous. I always have liked red bellied woodpeckers. Aren't they cute! And we'll hear woodpeckers on steel roofing and metal transformer covers. I think they like to see how loud they can get. LOL
