Wow, these are fantastic shots. So great of the natural world. Your photography is a pleasure!

Loved this series of sunset photos and the birds.
Didn't care too much for the Gator, though Chaka enjoyed it :)
Wish you a Very Healthy & Happy New Year, Dear Sallie!
Peace :)

A lovely first post for 2017, hope it is a good one for you. xx

Happy and Healthy New Year, Sally, to you and your family!

It must be nice to be back in Florida sunshine when most of the country is experiencing winter storms and cold and snow.

That alligator looks well fed. I hope the shore birds are careful!

Tony McGurk

Amazing sunset. The shot of the Egret is great & I really had a laugh at Please Feed Our Catfish sign.

Happy new year to your too! Seems like you ended 2016 in good way. I am sure 2017 will bring many more adventures and blessings. #OurWorldTuesday

I LOVE, just LOVE your sunset photos! There you are all warm and toasty and here we are Cold. The wind is blowing and I'm tried of winter already.

I think your sunset photos with the boats are very pretty! Lovely to see a majestic egret but I shivered to see the alligator!
Enjoy your camping and Happy New year!

I like seeing photos from your winter home, Sallie. It's snowing and blowing in Breckenridge. Powder day tomorrow!

tom the backroads traveller

Sallie, you and I have two different water views this week.

I can look at these pics and dream of the warm weather! Thanks, Sallie!

Beautiful series of photos. Love the detail of the great egret's feathers and stunning sunset colours in the second photo.

Mary Howell Cromer

Happy New Year and yes ;) Red-Shouldered Hawks, however they have not yet acquired their red shoulders, as they still have their first year feathers. This entire post so full of great shares. Take care, enjoy each and every day~

I love the light in first photo. I wish you all the best in 2017.

Findlay Wilde

Fantastic pictures, especially that stunning Egret. I hope you have a fabulous 2017.

Hootin' Anni

Pretty!! I'm back from my holiday hiatus, and had to stop by to wish you a happy new year and enjoy your photo shares!! Exceptional images. As always.

Su-sieee! Mac

The egret's feathers had me thinking of a winter fairy queen with a long elegant mane of hair. Quite magical. Happy New Year!

Love the Florida pictures. The feathery egret is beautiful

Here's to more adventures in 2017.

marvelous sunset photos.

Happy New Year. Gorgeous sunset. Not sure what I would if I saw an alligator in the car park. Disappear as fast as I could probably.

I'd like to see that egret shake its tail feathers!

Linda aka Crafty Gardener

love the egret and hawk photos, enjoy

Enjoyed your photos. Happy New Year!

Hello Sallie - beautiful shot of the egret! Your weather looks lovely. Wishing you joy and good health in the New Year!

Happy New Year, Sallie. Looks like you're right back at home in Florida, how different life must be compared to the NW. I can't imagine being sanguine enough to deal with an alligator in the car park, great shot.
Thanks for your company on the first MM of 2017.

Lavender Dreams

I'm back to say Happy New year! Hope we both have happy times here in Florida! Hugs, Diane

sorry, it's a typo: I meant: it's up to you:):)

Am back to thank you for linking your post to ALL SEASONS! It's probably the weather here that made a weak internet connection (it's extremely foggy here today) - If you like you can put in another link tomorrow? It's put to you! But in any case a very happy New Year, full of great travel, adventure, and pleasant surprises!

This looks like a wonderful trip, Sally. Hope to see a red- or any hawk sometime. This and the eagle are such magnificent birds!
Thank you so much for your kind comment about the reflection of a tree in Yosemite -painting. It was a challenge to think upside down, lol! Yes, the holidays were great because my son who lives in Europe came home for about 2 weeks to celebrate with the rest of the family.
Hope to see you back on Sunday for ALL SEASONS - back to the Sun-Wed. link:)

Even if the Christmas lights photos didn't turn out, that's hard to do, your bird photos are superb!
Happy New Year!

Lovely peaceful scenes... I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy 2017. Hugs Michelle

lovely sunset

Looks like a joyful experience! I love the sunset shot. Hope you have an amazing New Year!

Joe Todd

Have a great New Year

Just beautiful. I especially like the first sunset photo. One of the best I've seen. And the catfish sign has to be one of the first "feed our XXX' I've seen. Just dont feed the alligators.

Some gorgeous photos here, Sallie! Nice to have you back in Florida and thank you for all your comments! Wishing you and yours a wonderful New Year filled with health and good times and happiness!

Hello Sallie, love your pretty egret and birds. The hawk is cool! I am now used to seeing gators everywhere now. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy weekend! I wish you and your family all the best in 2017 and a very Happy New Year!

Loved your sunset photos Sallie! So very pretty! Definitely no alligators here in Oregon and sadly (or maybe not so sadly as they scare me) we didn't see any while in Florida too:) I think I'll be content to see them on your blog...
Expecting even colder weather here next week. Brr.

Peter B

Beautiful skies, and I love the critter shots too! Have a happy new year.

Dear Sallie, a very Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and your family. Oh! I love that Egret picture. Really...really nice.

the egret is really beautiful - i love when they do that spreading thing!!!

Yes, you are boating and camping, we are shoveling snow!

You are right: cheese dreams= toast, cheese, bacon!!!

Happy New Year!
The boat scenes and the birds-especially the Egret-are beautiful. (Here in the UK Midlands, I have had thick fog for three days!)

Beautiful pictures ! Happy New Year !

dear sallie,
always such beautiful shots ! wishing you a happy healthy and wonderful 2017 !!!

Love the sunset photos, and your capture of the great egret is fabulous!

Sara - My Woodland Garden

Wonderful views, Sallie!
I like especially the last photo with the palm trees. :)
Seeing photos of alligators always impresses me. It has been interesting to learn that people and alligators can coexist peacefully.
Thank you for sharing.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2017!

Lady Fi

What gorgeous skies and shots! Wishing you both peace and joy for the coming year.

Beautiful sky photos and I loved the egret with all the plumes. I don't think I could ever feel comfortable getting too close to alligators! Enjoy your nice warm Florida weather - and I think I would enjoy my Queensland summer if I could just have a little break in proper cold weather for a while. The heat and humidity gets a bit trying right now!

I love your photos, especially the Upriver Canal pic!!
Happy New Year!!

Beautiful boating and camping experience. Wish you happy and prosperous new year.

Hildred Finch

Lovely days, Sallie, and beautiful pictures to record them. Memory makers.....

ellen b

You are already getting the most out of your new views. I enjoyed seeing these images that are so different from mine right now! Blessings.

Looks like a great outing to me. I'm still not used to alligators lolling around parking lots.

gorgeous series of skies!

It looks like a great excursion, and that sunset is perfect. Have a wonderful 2017!

Gorgeous sunset. Beautiful egret. So much beauty when we take the time to look around. Hope you have a wonderful New Year!!

Super way to spend the holidays out in nature and enjoying yourself! Thanks for the photos...really great!

Valerie, Australia

Glorious sunset captures. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that alligator! Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2017

Beautiful skies.

Hello, wonderful Florida scenes and images. The sunset is gorgeous. I love the egret and hawk too. Enjoy your weekend! I wish you all the best in 2017, Happy New Year!

Love all of these photos, Sallie, but, especially admire the Great Egret and your composition is exquisite. WOW!
I hope you've had a Merry Christmas and I wish you a very happy and healthy New Year.

What gorgeous sunset. Here's wishing you a healthy and peaceful New Year.

I suppose that alligator makes a change from having a black labrador hanging on (and dripping) at your every mouthful. Just don't try feeding it by hand. It will take chunks from your fingers. Even I know that - the lab that is.

Enjoy those sunsets Sallie. They can only last until October.

Happy New Year.

happy camping - enjoy :)
