It's still a beautiful Oregon October around here -- perfect walking weather, wonderful Fall color. Long beautiful Autumn days are great in real life, but as far as pictures go, last week wasn't all that different from the two posts just before this one. And besides it is still October for us -- that month when we have all our appointments and other un-bloggable activities -- and this year, it is even more Octoberish than usual.
So this week's post is a collection from the not-so-long-ago archives (all pictures are from this past season and not used in earlier posts.)
We see colorful motor homes, buses, and other tiny homes-on -wheels often. I'm not sure if there are more of these here in the Pacific Northwest or if it is a country-wide phenomenon nowadays. I don't remember seeing so many of them when we traveled (in our own, not-quite-so-colorful) tiny home. Some of the ones we see around here are quite creative and a few are even a little scary.
These units are also fertile grounds for interesting signs, because most owners seem to like to let everybody know where they stand on pretty much anything and everything. This is a closer look at the rear window in the tiny house in the center of the collage.
The pictures in the above mosaic are all from Eureka beach. There were patches of that red plant here and there in the sandy beach grass. It was almost jarring to see that bright color popping up amidst all the blue and green.
At Eureka (California) beach with the birds.
These pictures are from Kirk Pond, near Fern Ridge Lake . I wish those geese wouldn't always turn their backs to me.

Great looking buses and waders. I'll leave the names of the waders to those who live in the US!
Sorry for the late reply, been on the road with work.

Wonderful photos of the shore birds. They are so interesting to watch. People live in so many types of homes, don't they? And we all seem to want to let others know a bit about our personality and values, too. Have a great week!

Those red flowers on the beach certainly are eye candy, so very pretty. Love the painted RV buses, that also pop colour...what fun to be able to travel the nation that way. Happy Week~

An ideal day would be 'beach with the bird's!
I'm running a bit late visiting this weekend since I spent about 5 hours in the ER with heart issues. Thanks for sharing your post!

A friend and his wife regularly go away in a small Pod Caravan with their young Alsatian. They like it because the wife can tow it with her Mini. They now have a large awning, which can make a second bedroom. They usually use Caravan Club sites.

I love those fun ways to travel and to camp and the I believe in magic sign. It's a beautiful part of the country to photograph! Enjoy your weekend! (it's been nice and cool here this week, YAY)

Hello, Sallie
Wonderful shorebirds and geese, great sightings. We may need some magic on election day. I like the tree hugging sign and tiny homes.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend.

I would love one of those motor homes to travel round the country. Love all the birds. Have a great weekend.

LOVE those motor homes; the brightness, creativity, humor - and passion what whatever is important. Then . . . the shorebirds. This post gave me just the boost I needed this evening. Thank you.

I had a good laugh at your description of your month that has you calling on archives for photos - I seem to be doing that more and more …. enjoy your weekend and hope you have good weather for whatever you are up to!

Magic bus!! Yes, I think the whole tiny home thing, and tiny home on wheels, has gotten increasingly popular. I see a lot of these out in Joshua Tree. Some great photos!

I love seeing the homes on wheels. Brings out the nomad in me! I LOVE it! Thanks for linking up today!

Wow! Those are colorful RVs! Love the birds!

I hope tour appointements are not too much medical's ones.
It's curious this habit to "to like to let everybody know where they stand on pretty much anything and everything", but our world is like this now !I prefer birds and flowers which are what they are without the need to say it at every body (I worried my "english" is quite incomprehensible !)

Nice beach scenes. I would like an RV but it would have to be reliable.

I saw a bus with sailboat on top at the Slabs in California many years ago. When I boondock more likely to see the unusual tiny homes on wheels.

Fun camper vans!

cool! love those motorhomes. If I was young I would like to have one.
Have not blogged much lately. Since they cut down too much forests and then the draught emtied the ponds and wetlands there are not much of interest for a naturelover. Glad to see you are still around :)

Hello! Wonderful serie of photos.Yes, the birds don't like posing for a photo :)
Have a great week ahead!

Love the pics of the birds. I am a birder, too. Living in PA I don't get chances to see shorebirds very often, but when I do, I take full advantage, even though I still need to use a field guide to identify many of the birds.

WOW love the bright colored motor homes! I'd like to do the top of my van in something like that the paint is peeling off...And is that a Marbled Godwit? can't see the length of the bill as it appears to be longer than the photo shows he has it down in the mud...

Eureka Beach looks like a beautiful area to spend time at!

Beautiful beach views, Sally! The center of your collage of RV has much of a Tiny house:)I've seen on TV that the latter has become a movement now, with an event every year - with many of the young people(who do not riot or protest). Looks like fun to get to know some of these travelers:) Thanks for sharing this side of fall with All Seasons. Enjoy while the weather is still nice:)

A tree hugging, dirt worshipper......now that seems like my kind of person! I’d guess that he/she didn’t vote for Trump!
Posted by: David Gascoigne | October 23, 2018 at 01:14 AM
I guess those motor homes are like mobile Facebook? The idea that every Tom, Dick and Harry is interested in your opinions on just about everything. Those really colourful ones do look interesting - i wonder if the owners are colourful characters?

I love all the travel trailers and such. I could tell that you were not in Oklahoma because I didn't see any gun racks or MAGA caps.
What a beautiful, interesting place you live.

A bus landed in Floyd a year of two ago that was a pop-up art gallery and had an elevator in it! Hop on the Bus Gus http://www.looseleafnotes.com/2017/11/hop-on-the-bus-gus/ I like to fantasize getting on the road and living with our house on our back like that.

isn't it wonderful to have a stash!! from a time when we had so much to share that we couldn't fit it all in!! we have very little fall color here, i think it is going to come and go quickly!!
i was glad to have my festival...blog material!!
i liked that first mosaic, all the colors and the light purple!!

I like the colorful buses.

Great buses, they are my favourite, I long for them. When I was 30 I had a old bus, a Bedford. It was beautiful, took me through France and Italy, and of all England and Wales.

Nice photos of the home on wheels, I like that timy house one. Beaches and birds together is a wonderful combination. Lovely scenic photos from Eureka beach.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week!

Great shots of tiny homes, beach, and birds. Living in Florida, I see lots of RVs especially in the winter.
Posted by: Carol | October 22, 2018 at 01:47 PM
The homes on wheels are interesting but the beaches and birds are beautiful. Is that bright plant on the beach a saltmarsh plant of some kind? If you manage to contain all your appointments to the one time of the year I reckon you are doing well! The appointments I worry about are the ones I can't manage to put when I want them!!

Absolutely hands-down love the motor home that looks like it came out of a children’s storybook. The signage is awesome, too, and must be quite an eye-catcher on the highways. :)

Those motor homes look huge as well as colourful. Life on the road sounds like the perfect existence but I'm sure there must be a number of downsides.

What adorable tiny houses!
Posted by: Lady Fi | October 22, 2018 at 11:58 AM
Birds have no sense of propriety when it comes to posing for a photo. lol Tule elk, too.
Sometimes the Husband and I daydream about getting a tiny home on wheels and visiting all the places we want to see in our country. Although I'm into splashes of color these days, I'd want a dull looking RV to drive around.
I like your ocean mosaic. I was wondering how sharp reds and greens would look in a sea of blues. Cheers, Sallie!

What a great collection of motorhomes, each one reflecting their occupants tastes and opinions, a bit like bloggers in that respect aren't they? Pesky geese, they're obviously very camera shy.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and a very Happy MM.

Ha I hope you get through October in one piece, love that comment about doing all your unbloggable activities - makes the mind boggle, Haha! I'm just back from a mad dash to New England, the Fall was disappointing to the locals, still looked lovely to me, obviously Oregon is the place to be... I'll have to get my bumper stickers organised first though!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog.
