Time for some Holiday sparkle!
Christmas Lights reflected on Lake Dora, Florida
Time to reflect on the past year ....
... and ring in the new one.
Mt. Dora City Park
Time to imagine lifting a lighted glass in a champagne toast to the New Year.
(and perhaps to enjoy a real glass or two!)
Sunset on Lake Dora
Time to appreciate nature's beautiful light -- variations of which are available every day of the year,
even after all the Holiday sparkle is gone.
And (I can't resist) time to say a last goodbye to the Christmas Season
(Dancing Christmas Tree in Mt Dora town square.)

Wow! the city indeed put up light shows. But, my favorite is still the light shown of nature. As usual amazing pictures, especially that of the light display of nature.

Love your captures of the sparkly lights especially reflected on the water. Except for the white stuff currently on the ground, the year has started off wonderfully.

Love these festive lights Sallie! Would have chosen the bow, like you did,for a thumbnail image:):).
Happy that the painting inspired your comment for the New's wish to me with the specific attention to detail often seen in teachers (I never realized you were one until last year, in one of your posts!).
Just on New Year's Day I showed one who's saving up for college (and who's grand mother is an artist) my pastel about your Daffodil Bouguet, and his mouth dropped open. A while ago he told me that he got bored with painting, so I showed him there are still uncharted territories for him (smile).

Don't you wish the lights were up all year round? You've got a lot of beautiful things to keep you entertained down there. I trust the canal is back to normal and your cottage is looking good for the season? Hope you and your Florida pals whoop the whoop out of all the whoop you got to whoop. Happy New Year to you! Say, "Hi," to my crane buddies if you see them.

I'm sad to see the lights and Christmas trees come down but the sunsets help and are like nature's fireworks.

And a very happy New Year to you, Sallie. Mt. Dora is one of my favorite places. I'm so glad that you had a chance to visit and you did it at the perfect time of year. Beautiful photos and you've reminded me that it's time to head back down that way. But I'll be posting a few photos of Mt. Dora in the coming days!

This Christmas seemed to come in a blink of an eye. The years are merging one after another, as the tree goes up and is taken down quicker than ever. Spending the season in Florida would be new and pretty awesome for me … that incredible weather and those stunning sunsets. Maybe someday. Meanwhile, let’s clink glasses and toast one another for a joyous and healthy New Year!
