I had to stop by again to say thanks so much for linking up at My Corner of the World. I do appreciate it!

Beautiful sunrise Sallie. I rarly see sunrises where I live. I have windows the wrong way. :( Love the egrets :)

You do seem like a healthy person so I'm sure a week down was hard, but also good for healing. And now back on your feet to enjoy more of your beautiful weather, birds and boating.

Anni @ I'd Rather B Birdin'

It's the pits being down & out. Glad to read your recovering.

Loved all your photos today Sallie! And...

Thanks so much for sharing your photos and adding a great narrative for all of us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin'

Hello. I am glad you are feeling better now.
Cattle egrets are wonderful looking birds.

All the best for you!

Stewart M

Glad you are alive and well! When I was a teacher, I would just press on regardless of colds and such like (which was a bad idea!) - thankfully I can now listen to what my immune system tells me and take some sick time if needed! (which is a much better idea!)

Cheers - Stewart M _ Melbourne

Hey, are you still alive and well?

Jennifer Jilks

I am getting old. I meant to say that I am happy you are better. Another sign!

Jennifer Jilks

We are definitely better able to handle illness when we are young! My kids & grandies seem to have colds all winter. sigh. I have not had one this year. Yippee!

Adam Jones

I like the Laughing Gull. It reminds me of the one and only time I've seen one here in the UK.

Eileen Wise

Hello Sallie, love you Florida birds and photos. The Cattle Egrets and the pelican are favorites. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

Betty Crow

Hope you feel better soon. Wonderful photos, but that moon shot really caught my eye.

riitta k

It is wise to rest when having a cold. I am glad you feel better already. Beautiful photos - happy weekend!

Peter B.

Both funny and true about how we consider ourselves "indispensable" when we are young. I think it keeps us going! I've had a chronic sinus infection most of the winter. I hate it, but try not to let it slow me down too much. Enjoy your weekend!

Jim, Sydney, Australia

Terrific post.

Linda in Virginia

I like the pun. Take care!

Taking care of yourself is incredibly important. It has taken me many years to realize this, myself! Thanks for linking up today.

Lavender Dreamer

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick! The pollen is so bad, it may have added to your problems. But I'm glad you feel better now and can get out while the weather's nice. We hiked this afternoon and the breeze was wonderful! Enjoy your evening. Love your nature photos!

Out On The prairie

Trees do provide , not always a good idea to remove them after they die, they offer even more than alive.hope you are feeling better

As an "owl" I love the pic of the full moon! :-)

MaryBeth Schwartz

Better to take care so you can be better----did that make any sense? How did we do it back in the day---questions abound but we did and our families still thank us---LOL

Glad you are out and about again!

betty - NZ

I, too, have embraced that being older is sooo different than younger days when it comes to health problems, but that's life.
Love your photos and that moon shot is fabulous!

Taken For Granted

Like all three of your signs, especially the "Eat From...the Earth" sign.

Jim, Sydney, Australia

Great sign.

So glad you are better! I didn't get sick till my kids were in school. Now, if I get sick, I just sleep until I'm better. Such luxury!

you are lucky to have such beautiful weather you can "brag" about, ours is coming - hopefully!!

i'm glad you are feeling better, we had really nasty colds this past winter and like you, they really impacted us negatively!! i am sometimes stuck indoors for long periods of time, having fun hobbies and my backyard birds really helps!!!

"life from the dead" is super amazing, those images were fascinating!!!

NatureFootstep PhotoArt

glad you feel better now. Guess it was some kind of experience then. :) Love the old tree :)

I am happy to hear you are feeling much better Sallie. These coughs and colds are miserable. The forest sign is very interesting, as is the one from the farmers market. Great photos from your area. Glad you can get out and enjoy it.

Linda P

I'm glad that you're feeling better and you're able to share some interesting images. That full moon photo is wonderful. Wishing you a good rest of the week.

Sallie - glad you are back among the living. I do think it takes us longer to get over illnesses as we get older! Your picture of the moon is wonderful! Sorry that you are having trouble linking up to Mosaic Monday - I appreciate the attempt and your collages!

ellen b.

So happy to hear that you are better and able to go out and about and have the energy to blog, too. The older we get the rougher illness is and the longer it takes to recover.

Su-sieee! Mac

Glad to hear you're doing well, Sallie. I was wondering if you were on you way back to Oregon. Viruses these days are tougher than when we were younger. So I think. I laid low for a week, too, earlier this month. Still took me another week or so to truly shake the bug. I was almost ready to see the doctor, who would've told me this, too, will pass. Hugs to you, Sallie-Girl.

Lovely photos - I'm glad you're feeling better.

William Kendall

The egrets are beauties.

It's strange that (fingers crossed) we have both escaped the common cold this winter when we always get one Jan/Feb time. I think these things travel around the world more than we think via aircraft and social mobility generally. Maybe this winter there have been less viruses, except for yourself sallie.

I noticed the bird on the sign too. A Laughing Gull, very common in the Caribbean and Florida around now. Listen to their call - it is laugh-like.

Glad you are feeling better. Have a good week, Diane

bill burke

Glad you're on the mend. Getting older has some side effects that we have to adjust to even though we don't think we do. :) I love your moon shot and the tern right sign. Have a wonderful day and new week.

David Gascoigne

Oh and I forgot to mention, I think your tern on marker 19 is a Laughing Gull.

David Gascoigne

Sallie, your opening sentences make me realize why I love to read your blog. You write so well! It is a pleasure to read your well-crafted words. And I am glad you are feeling better too.

Eileen Wise

Hello, Sallie! I am so glad you are feeling better. I am sure it felt good to be out on the boat and going to lunch with your friends. The weather looks beautiful, I love the birds and the gorgeous moon capture. Enjoy your day! Have a happy new week!

I'm sorry you were ill and glad you're on the mend. I had the flu at the end of November and beginning of December and was sick almost a month. It went to an upper respiratory infection and took 3 courses of antibiotics - so I know age has made illness worse! I missed your beautiful posts filled with nature and am glad you're back. Take care!

I am glad you are feeling better! I hoped nothing was seriously wrong, when you missed a Blog! It's true of all of us, that even a bad cold can knock you out as we age😊. You summed up my fellings exactly. Your photos are lovely, as always.

I'm glad you're feeling better Sallie, it's awful to be home with a cold.
Love the sunrise photo, the full moon photo and the photo with that great sign - we should all follow that advice :)

I hear ya sister, what may take someone a day or two to get over is always a week or more for me. Hope you're feeling better and well enough to appreciate that you've got one helluva screen porch view.
The neighborhood cranes flew back last week or at least that's when they started waking me up again. Are you missing two cranes down there?
I'm on an eating better kick but I haven't had any produce that wows me. I did see corn in the grocery store last week and wonder where it came from.
I like the tan color on the cattle egrets, the wildlife is hoppin' around here, at least bird wise but they're in for a surprise when it gets down in the 20s this week.

Nancy Chan

Glad that you have recovered. That's how I felt, probably age is catching up. Beautiful sunrise shot!

Lady Fi

So glad you are feeling better - and how nice to be able to take it easy! Lovely shots - I enjoyed the full moon photo.

Penelope Puddlisms

Good to know you’re feeling better, Sallie. That’s interesting and oddly hopeful signage about the forest and how nature shows us that even from death comes life!

Am glad you are feeling better, and don't have to languish anymore, haha:) Like what's on the plague "Life from the dead" - that's how I feel walking in my neighborhood - there's so much life, also in dacaying things! Always found pelicans very interesting birds! Happy you could share nature with All Seasons instead of cuoughing at home!! Thank you, enjoy the open air:)

Alan Bates

I am glad you are feeling better. As I got older it takes longer to get over things. Our weather here has gotten better and it has lifted my spirits.

I'm glad you are feeling better, Sallie! I was too tired to blog last week as I had a St Patrick's Day party and dinner for our family and I was exhausted afterward. It's OK to take it easy once and awhile! :)

I'm glad you are now feeling better and even well enough to go out for a short trip on the water. That should make anyone better! Your weather looks beautiful as long as it wasn't too hot. I looked out my window first thing this morning and it was perfect but now the temp. is rapidly climbing and I have the air con running! I love all the white birds standing in that prairie landscape although the white pelican still looks a little strange to me. Hopefully the heat will break soon and maybe I can get out and take pics of pelicans that look right to me!!!
