I have a friend in North Fort Myers and was down there in October. Lovely photos.

What a treasure of delights Sallie! Beautiful..each, and all.

Sounds like a wonderful month. I enjoyed the photos of the pretty birds.

Nice post - thanks for the check-in. All good with us, although we were in Europe for the last month. The fires are some distance from us - although we expect to have bad air quality from the smoke over the next few days.

Hope all is well.

Cheers - Stewart M - (finally back in) Melbourne

Looks like December in Florida was very enjoyable. Your pics are beautiful.

Hello Sallie, Beautiful collection of Florida photos. I love the sky and beach scenes and all the wonderful birds. Happy birding. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thanks so much for the visit and comment on my blog.

I spent Christmas in FL once as a child visiting Grandparents and thought it weird with lights on palm trees. But your pictures make it seem just right at this point in life.

Sharon Wagner

I've always wanted to visit St. Augustine. We'll be back visiting Florida in a couple months. I see you caught a spoonbill. They are always fun to see. Happy birding in 2020!

Nice pictures, how is the temperature in Florida, cooler or not as the weather goes beserk ! We have leaves and flowers coming out in January ! Crazy ! I too am happy that the year's end festivities are over, although we had a nice Christmas here in our house but we were put in a corner and my son organized everything (food included) so it was no work at all, we were 10. But he had made a buffet so everybody helped himself and found a seat somewhere !

Loving it.

Good perspective on the stages of life and embracing what that is. Sounds like you've developed a good community in Florida which must be helpful when you are away from family. A very Happy New Year to you and yours!

Michelle Keltner

Beautiful photos and Happy New Year! Thank you for linking up!

Wonderful, great photos of Florida!!!
Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you! I can't believe it's 2020. Looks like St. Augustine really did a nice job decorating for the holidays. Love the upriver sky capture!!

Perfect, just what I think the holidays in Florida should be.

Have a great 2020!!

Jennifer Jilks

What fun! I haven't been out to see fireworks for ages.

We have had some cold (for Florida) weather in the last month. My sister was down from Michigan for Christmas and was disappointed in rain and cool weather some days. I told her it still beats Michigan. Lovely photos - Happy Monday!

Great photos of your Florida wildlife. They remind me of how wonderful a trip we took down there a few years back. I was really in awe of the birdlife, and even the alligators at the Everglades. Happy New Year Sallie :)

David Gascoigne

I always find whistling ducks especially appealing so I wad happy to see these pictures, Sallie. All the best in 2020.

MaryBeth Schwartz

Always good to still be here to enjoys LIFE! Nice Florida shots. Wet and gray here the last few days. Bob got the tractor stuck in the mud in the back pasture next to the woods. Not a good time---Bah Humbug

Lovely photos but brrrrr it looks chilly. Happy 2020, Diane

Happy healthy New Year, Sallie! It sounds like you had a good Chrsitmas. I took a little blog break for Christmas but came back last week. We were so busy all of December and my body let me know to take it easy in January as I had a sciatica attack! Ouch. Starting to feel better now.

All those birds! I barely see a gray jay braving the cold. I agree that your "cold" days would seem downright shirtsleeve weather here. Enjoy your time in FL!

Wally Jones

Welcome home, y'all!

Terrific images of traveling down the peninsula! Birds, river, sky, fireworks - what's not to like?

Happy New Year!

HI Sallie, it looks like a great homecoming for your FL digs...looking forward to more in 2020.

Lavender Dreams

You've worked a lot of fun trips into the month! Love the birds you saw....looks like one of my favorites, a Roseate Spoonbill in among other birds. Hope things are good at your cottage. Happy New year! Hugs!

Hello, I have always enjoyed seeing the birds and wildlife in Florida. It seems to be everywhere you look. Lovely photos of the birds, I missed seeing the Whistling Ducks on my last Florida trip. The fireworks are beautiful. Happy New Year, I wish you and yours all the best in 2020. Happy Monday, wishing you a great day and a happy new week!

Iris Flavia

A Happy New Year to you, lovely pictures, it seems you had a fabulous time (minus those sunglasses, of course, hope you found them).

riitta k

Beautiful views & so many lovely birds! Wishing you all the best in 2020!

Shiju Sugunan

I liked your December activities. So many nice pics!

Sallie - I think you are living up to your blog title of A Full Time Life! A beautiful collection of birds, and I love the picture of New Year's Eve celebration with fireworks! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, and enjoy a Florida week ahead!

ellen b.

Welcome back to your Florida home. You've already enjoyed lots of beauty in your winter environs. How nice to have friends to connect with for good times together. If I didn't say it yet, a very happy 2020 to you and yours!!

No matter how well you things in order, opening up a seasonal residence takes some work. We are back in Powell River and have checked on our cabin, but haven't spent the night. We have enough supplies in the pantry but the weather has been so windy we've hunkered down in our condo in town. We must be getting wimpy. - Margy

Penelope Notes

Our Christmas roles do change as the decades go by. Haha … don’t we all sometimes feel like a spoonbill among ducks? What great December memories you've created and captured in pictures. Happy New Year to you and yours, Sallie, and thanks for sharing your world!

Missed your cheerful presence at All Seasons, so am happy you're back:) Great recap of the holiday season, Sallie. The idea of a Wildlife Rescue center is so heartwarming to me! Love all the different birds you captured:) Boy, do they know how to make things look festive in Florida! Love that capture of all of you feasting:) A very happy 2020 to you and your family. Up to a smashing new blog year!

December was nice this year in Florida! Happy New Year!
