Hello, Sallie
Your trip to the coast looks great, Beautiful sunsets and lovely scenery. Great shot of the gull, looks pretty in the sunlight. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post! Take care, have a happy weekend!

Linda in Virginia

Great shots! I enjoyed taking this tour through your post.

Carol

all of your photos are great but those sunrise pics are amazing

Sharon Wagner

Sunset moods are my favorite. Turbulent seas for turbulent times!

Cathy Keller

Beautiful photos! I especially like the one of the lighthouse! Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

riitta k

You have seen beautiful landscapes on your trip. My living scope is limited to the surroundings. Ridiculous, but maybe wise. Thank you for your wonderful photos, wishing happy Advent.

Nandakumar

wonderful series and great variety

Ed

Awesome sunset!

Peter B.

The Oregon Coast is so incredibly beautiful. I could look at your photo for hours!

Debbie

what a wonderful little trip...providing so many beautiful images!! i have wanted to visit the ocean these past few days but the hubs has been too busy to take me. it was so nice to see it here. the lighthouse is fabulous - i think i might like to live there!!

the sunsets are so pretty, one of my favorite times of day!!

Amy Franks

I'm envious of you travelling. So nice waking up in the colder months to look out at that scenery.

My Corner of the World

You certainly got to see some wonderful sights! I am loving the lighthouse a lot.
I had never been on the ocean until I moved here. Interestingly enough, I was the only one who didn't get seasick on our watery adventures! But, one time, I had to hold on and remind myself that these people do it all the time and don't drown :)

Your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week is an exciting addition! Thanks for joining us!

Lovely series...I get sea-sick just looking at that photo...Those brave souls...Michelle

Little Wandering Wren

I'm sure I would love Oregon especially the none overcrowded beaches - you got a fabulous photo of the lifeguards!
Have a good week!

Ahh...what a wonderful autumn getaway you were able to enjoy. Beautiful scenes you captured. Loved seeing each photo. I love the beach in Autumn and Winter. Glad you could enjoy this time!

Fun60

It just looks beautiful. Those sunsets are breathtaking.

William Kendall

Beautiful and dramatic shots.

klara

what a roller coaster of weather! amazing.

Lavender Dreams

What a beautiful place! I guess I won't sign up for the Coast Guard! Oh my! I wouldn't be able to watch them on that rough water without gasping! Love these photos. We are having a blast of cold air here in FL and it's been wonderful! Cold at night and warm afternoons! Enjoy your week!

NatureFootstep

coming back, re your comment: we are not in a lock down, a little more restrictions but not lock down. The present situation is worse then in the summer, but still lower then in the spring :) So, restrictions, but no lockdown!
take care

Laurie

My late father-in-law was a member of the Coast Guard. The sailors on those ships must be so brave! The Oregon Coast is certainly a beautiful place. I hope I get to go back there next summer!

NatureFootstep

o,wow, what a beautiful area. If I lived there I would be there a lot. Exploring the beach and surroundings. But, I would never go on a boat in that kind of waves :)
Thanks for sharing the beauty. :)

Beatrice P Boyd

What gorgeous sunset views, Sallie, and your trip to the OR coast was certainly a great one in terms of photos. We visited our friends there a couple of years ago (time has flown) and seeing the Pacific Coast compared to the Atlantic Coast we grew up around was wonderful and the water was also much colder I recall. Yes, the Coast Guard does perform a wonderful service and seeing that boat go under the crashing waves would have been nerve wracking for me as well - great photos!

SONDRA

Excellent photos...I love the sun bathed CA Gull...no way I'd want to be on that boat barff...
The Oregon coast is very moody, you picked the perfect adjective. On sunny days it's so gorgeous but on those misty foggy days it's a different place all together.

Linda Walcroft

Lovely! High waves scare me though.

Gillena Cox

WOW i am so happy to have internet friend who travel and share such wonders

Have a good week Sallie

Much❤love

Gaelyn

I do love the desert but this makes me long for an ocean visit.

I hope to someday return to the Oregon coast to feel the serenity and beauty. I wish we have a camper so we can just go. My hubby is terrified of the virus and is not even entertaining a short weekender with hotel stay. He's not comfortable with the situation yet.

Colleen@ LOOSELEAFNOTES

I've seen those monolithic rocks in Oregon! Thankful for the coast guard. I grew up next to a live in station right on the ocean.

Wally Jones

Beautiful images, Sallie!

Oregon's coast is a little more dramatic than Florida's gulf beaches! I could get lost for weeks exploring all those sea stacks, rocky shorelines, forests .... wow!

Hope your new week is off to a great start!

bill burke

What beautiful photos, Sallie. The Oregon coast is really a gorgeous place to be, I love it.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week.

Taken For Granted

Wow, what dramatic seashore photos. The Coast Guard boat photos are amazing.

Alan Bates

Nice getaway that you had with a variety of weather.

That photo of the boat bucking in the waves looks pretty scary to me. I've read about river bars and I can see why they would be dangerous.

I wouldn't make a very good Coast Guardsperson. Early in my career I would go offshore in the Gulf of Mexico every so often. It was only a one hour helicopter ride but if it was too stormy of helicopters we took a crew boat. Six hours and I always got sicker than a dog.

Those are some beautiful coast shots and the skies are brilliant! I got a little nervous just seeing the photos of the Coast Guard, oh my gosh, I wouldn't be too cool seeing that in person!

jp@A Green Ridge

Sallie, seeing your pix of the waves with the Coast Guard boats made me gulp too! Fog and mist are favorites of mine so this sounds perfect for any nature lovers...jp

Hello Sallie

Beautiful photos of the Oregon coastline. I love the lighthouse, is it on an island? The sunset and moon photos are lovely. The waves do look big, I am glad the coast guard are so experienced. Beautiful shot of the gull. Take care, enjoy your day! Wishing you a happy new week!

Linda P

How lovely to be able to get away to the coast and spend some time there! The photos of sunsets and seascapes are wonderful. The sea is never still. I too admire the work of the Coast Guards, the Lifeguards and in particular the UK Royal National Lifeboat Institution who go out in all weathers saving lives in danger at the coast and other waterways. I would love to go to the coast, but it's not possible for the time being.

Penelope Notes

These are great shots of the dramatic sea, sky and sunspots on the gull. A little bit of everything is exactly what we got in my neck of the woods weather-wise. The disappearing Coast Guards would put a lump in my throat, too, but these strong souls must navigate crashing waves often along the Oregon Coast!

Heidrun

The pictures of the rough beach brings me remembering on our holidays in Irlande, years ago. I love the coast and enjoyed reading. The coastguard have a hard job to do.

Happy MosaicMonday

Hazel

How lovely to see the sea just now,(I’m in UK Midlands). After a month of Lockdown, we are in a rigid Tier 3.
The photos are lovely, and I am glad you had such a good time-even a small travelling trailer has good use😊😷.
Thank you for such great views.

MaryBeth Schwartz

Beautiful shots. I love the Oregon coast for some reason more than I do the Washington Coast. I do love Brookings and it not so Oregon micro climate. My cousin lives in Brookings.

Pat

Beautiful photos of your getaway trip, Sallie. We have yet to have a chance to drive along the Oregon coast--or visit the state at all--and I hope it won't be too long before that will be possible. We did the drive from San Diego to San Francisco along Pacific Highway and it was always our dream to go back to SF and continue north all the way to the Canadian border.

Angie

Sallie - so many fabulous photographs. I especially liked the house - was that on an island? And the gull in that light - so perfect!!! I can understand how your heart was in your throat with that Coast Guard bot - wow! Thanks for sharing your getaway with everyone at Mosaic Monday!

Martha

What a beautiful collection of photos. I'm so glad you enjoyed your getaway Sallie. It makes me nervous even seeing the photos of the Coast Guard boats!

Dawn aka Spatulas On Parade

Man that water was rough. I am sure the Coast Guard is used to it but wow, perfect timing of the photo. The pictures of the sky and beach area are just lovely. Thank you for sharing. I miss the water so much.
