The colours of spring are gorgeous, Sallie. I suspect that you have missed your annual migration to Florida, but Oregon seems to have many agreeable compensations. As for the parakeet, Florida has more than its share of introduced exotics, and not only birds as you well know. I wonder if out-of-state humans are considered invasive or just necessary for the economy!

April is so beautiful and then May appears and it is beautiful also. I just look towards beauty I guess.
Lovely post.

You are ahead of us..We have snow and very cold temps and some of the vegetation got frozen sadly..but we can have a frost through the end of May here....Love all the color..

NatureFootstep

so beautiful! I envy you, at least for now. My world is not that colorful yet. :)

Glad you are vaccinated. I have got my first but not the second shot. :)
Take care!

Gaelyn

So much beautiful blooming Spring colors. Still waiting.

Lorrie Orr

Spring flowers are so beautiful, in so many varied colours. You've shown a wonderful selection of them in your world. Have a good week, and perhaps enjoy more walks along the river. So glad you have had your second vaccine.

Shiju Sugunan

Your son's dog is cute, the bird could be an escapee. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Happy Weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Such a funny photo that your son took. Looks like the dog is totally transfixed on that parakeet! Congrats on dose #2. There is definitely a sense of relief afterword. I love all that Oregon color and blue skies!

Geoff

We met the parakeet owner and showed her the photos. She’s been trying to get it back for several days now. She said it’s not friendly, but did have a big dog friend years ago.

Am loving your posts. Beautiful flowers and trees. Never get tired of seeing your pictures. Do Geoff and Lisa know that Max is a big hit on your blog? Really cute picture.

Dina Johnston

Beautiful shots! That bird is a cockatiel. Someone's pet that must have escaped. I hope he found a home for it. He won't last long out in wild. I have two.

Bob Bushell

Lovely spring time colours, I love them.

bill burke

Spring brings the colour and it's everywhere. Love the dog and parrot photo, that's a winner. Have a great day, Sallie.

David Gascoigne

Lovely colours of spring, Sallie. We have had our first vaccine (Moderna) but it will be early July before we receive the second one. Maybe one day we will all be free to travel again. I can hardly wait!

My Corner of the World

More fantastic spring colors! How gorgeous as mine die down to brown.
The dog and parrot are so cute, thanks for sharing them with us.

Your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week a wonderful addition!

Iris Flavia

Ohhh so much beauty! Slowly it starts here, also. Slowly. Loved to see yours, thank you :-)

Linda W

Beautiful colors! I love spring.

Laurie

Bill and I are getting our second dose of the vaccine next week. We have already planned our trip to Corvallis to visit our son and daughter-in-law in June. Looking forward to it very much.

I loved The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill (book)!

Lady Fi

Gorgeous spring shots! And that last shot is just priceless.

Wonderful signs of colorful spring! The two seem curious about one another. What an awesome picture of the dog and parakeet … and as the book shows, humans can be healed in some ways through involvement with nature and the fascinating creatures with which we share our world.

Fun60

Wonderful spring colours. Great photo of the dog and the paraqueet.

William Kendall

The dog and parakeet are priceless.

Sondra

Hi Sallie, more awesome spring blooms...lovely...and that parakeet seems to love dogs...Enjoy the colors.

lowcarbdiabeticJan

Wonderful to see the Spring-time flowers, lovely colours.

All the best Jan

I'm glad you guys got the second dose. It seems like vaccinations are in high gear now. I read that 50% of the members of one of our two dominant political parties have no intention of getting the vaccine. Shaking my head.

I loved that movie about the wild parrots on telegraph hill.

Amy Franks

Springtime has so many colours, it's the perfect temperature in the air too, not to

Getting my dose of spring blooms from your photos, Sallie. (I'm trying to be patient, too....) Cute meet and greet with the parakeet and dog.

I would love to see one of those parakeets! How neat! Love your Spring blooms and I'm happy your got shot #2...we did too. It made me feel pretty bad for a day or 2 but I'm so happy to have it and look forward to some trips too. Enjoy your week! We miss you here in FL! Come back soon!

EileeninMD

Hello Sallie,

The spring colors are just beautiful. I love all the flowers and the trees are lovely. What a cute shot of the dog and parakeet.
Take care, have a happy day!

Shiju Sugunan

Gorgeous spring blooms!

Diane Bohlen

A beautiful splash of Spring colours. The dog and parrot are funny.

Angie

Sallie - that is an adorable photo of the parakeet and the pup!

I am jealous of your spring colors ... we have had one day of Spring here and there, but as I type this, we are in the midst of a VERY blustery snowstorm. Sigh. Even I am ready for spring. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Pat

It is so nice seeing spring photos from your area, Sallie, as all we are seeing here in Colorado is snow and more snow!

Martha

Wow, a feast for the eyes is an understatement, everything is so beautiful! As you know we sure don't see that kind of color and beauty much here in Florida. Congrats on getting your second dose of the vaccine, that's fantastic news. That last photo is adorable. Maybe that little parakeet had a dog friend before his great escape. Enjoy your Sunday evening Sallie. :)

Carol

Wow! Love your spring blooms. Gorgeous!
