So thankful for conservation. Love all the birds and wildlife you get to see.

My Corner of the World

Oh, Sallie, that's a wonderful place to spend the day walking and enjoying the scenery. You are so right--you can't have too many birds!

Thanks for sharing your link at My Corner of the World this week!

A day spent with you is like a treasure hunt...we find some beauties!!!

Thanks so much for taking time to link in with us at I'd Rather B Birdin'. Much appreciated.

Adam Jones

So many great sightings. I do like that Stork though.

Hello, Sallie

The birding in Florida is wonderful. It is great to see the rookeries, I wish I was there now. Beautiful birds and I even like the gator. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend.

riitta k

Beautiful bird pictures. I rarely see big birds, so I liked to see your photos Sallie.

Karen @ Beatrice Euphemie

Amazing photos of all these beautiful birds under blue skies. I've only seen an egret - all the others are wonderful to see, especially the stork. I would be hesitant to walk among the alligators, though!

Peter B.

That does look perfect... so much nature, and those clouds!!

Wow, what a great bunch of birds you found. Storks!! I don't think I have ever seen one in the wild.

Photo Cache

This is the kind of place I would be interested in visiting.

Worth a Thousand Words

Such a variety!

Bob Bushell

Beautiful images, the Egrets are special, and Ibis, aren't they lovely. You are a great photos of birds, thanks Sallie.

Those are wonderful birds! I would love to join you.

What a nice variety of birds you saw. The alligator is interesting to see, I would have turned around and left the scene. :)

colleen Looseleaf

We were just in Naples and Marco Island. I was hoping to see flamingos at least in the zoo, no, but we had fun with the white ibis and Joe walked through a thousand flock of gulls like Kung Fu.

Linda Walcroft

Great pictures! Shore birds are so interesting.

Lorrie Orr

All those wonderful birds under such a beautiful blue sky. And then....the alligator!

Oh wow! I loved seeing these. Great photos Sallie!!!

Duwan @ Make Like An Apeman

I love seeing lots of different species hanging out together also. Looks like a fun walk. Love the gator picture.

Taken For Granted

Always good to see your photos of these wonderful water birds. We have Egrets also, but they arrive here for a couple months.

So many beautiful birds and such lovely photos! Not so sure about the alligator though!

Your photos are full of wildlife and so enjoyable. I have to feel sorry for the word stork who must have been behind the door when good looks were given out.

Veronica Lee

WOW! The variety of birds is astounding!

I enjoyed the neat captures, Sallie.

Happy Wednesday!

John's Island

Hi Sallie, Wow, what a neat post! Birds, birds, and more birds. The starting sky picture is great too! And more … the happy gator! I love it! I’ve got to give you thumbs up for large size images that are excellent for viewing. Your walks are wonderful … wish I could tag along! Also, thank you for the very kind comment you left for me today on John’s Island. You are right on! Walk, coffee, Wordle. :-) Thanks again, Sallie, and a happy day to you! John PS The large version of that alligator pic is just amazing! :-)

Villroses hage

Wonderful and elegant birds you met! I don't want to meet a smiling alligator (I think).

...you had a beautiful day to be out. I could do without the alligator though!

not too hot, not too bright...it was just right!! so many beautiful, and one not so beautiful birds sitting up in the trees!! i do see "boss bird" on the path, it surely looks like he may be in charge!!

picture number 2 is outstanding!! this looks like a suburb spot for birding, minus the alligator!!

Sallie, this post with its variety of shore birds reminded me of those we used to see when we visited the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge when we lived on the VA eastern shore. I recognized nearly all, except never saw a wood stork there or, thank goodness, a gator. You had a great day to be out and about and hopefully our New England weather will be warming up...in a few weeks. We did have a 60-degree teaser day on Sunday, so there's hope.

ellen b.

It is so wonderful to have these places to walk about and enjoy these graceful creatures. The birds...not the gator. Although they have their own interest for sure. Those wood storks are so interesting.

Lydia C. Lee

It's werid seeing such big birds up in a tree! #SharonsSouvenirs

Juliet (craftygreenpoet)

It's lovely to see the different birds all together.

Wow!! Your sky is girgeous. Lovely pics and mosiac.
Have a good week. I am at no.15 on the linky

Much love

Sharon Wagner

We were there last week! We saw many painted buntings. But no otters this time. Did you see the post from last November with a bobcat in a tree? I don't remember if you did. No bobcats this time either. Great little trail. Have a great Florida kind-of day!

Lavender Dreams

Thank you CREW!!! What a beautiful place to spend the day! We saw our first Snowy Egrets a couple of weeks ago so I'll be on the lookout for more. Love seeing the juvenile Little Blues too and it will be hard to tell the difference sometimes. Enjoy your week! It's beautiful here too! Hugs!

Hello Sallie,
This looks like a place I would love, seeing all the birds and the turtles. I even like the gator. Wonderful photos.

Little Wandering Wren

I agree you can never see too many birds! I have loved my peaceful wander with you today Sallie
Have a lovely day.

So nice seeing the different kinds of birds, I'm happy we don't have alligators here though

Sallie - the variety of birds is truly astonishing. It gives me hope in Nature and our planet. And what an amusing Egret on the path! Thanks so much for sharing with Mosaic Monday!

All these photos are beautiful. You have captured Cranes wonderfully and the collage make them more attractive!
Thanks and have a great day!

Fun place full of great things to see...I think I can see some yellow feet when I zoom in on that egret...A rookery is a noisy place as everyone is yelling at the neighbor.
Saw my FOY Gator today! We are in for a week of so so weather probably rain we can use some so it's all ok. Enjoy your week.

Love all the beautiful birds!

William Kendall

Beautiful birds! The gator is a formidable fellow.
